I BOUGHT SOME WHISKEY THAT IS 80 PROOF, WHICH IS 40% Alcohol. HOW MUCH DO I NEED @ BEDTIME TO PUT ME TO SLEEP?
I'M A 48 YEAR OLD MAN. EVEN THOUGH I OCCASIONALLY DRINK BEER AND WINE, I HAVE NEVER LIKED THE TASTE OF ANY KIND OF WHISKEY, THEREFORE, I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT IT. THE REASON THAT I RECENTLY BOUGHT IT IS BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN HAVING A LOT OF TROUBLE SLEEPING @ NIGHT. WHEN I GET IN BED THE SLEEPIER THAT I GET, THE MORE NERVOUS I GET. I CAN DRINK SOME WINE AND IT WILL GIVE ME A RELAXED FEELING, BUT FOR WHATEVER THE REASON, IT ACTUALLY MAKES IT HARDER FOR ME TO GO TO SLEEP. I'M NOT ON ANY MEDICATION. SOMEONE SAID THAT FOR Alcohol TO HELP ME SLEEP, I NEEDED SOMETHING A LOT STRONGER THAN WINE. HENCE, I GOT SOME JIM BEAN KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY. TO BE HONEST, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT BOURBON MEANS. I'M 5'10 & MY WEIGHT IS 280 LBS. MY QUESTION IS, HOW MANY OUNCES OF IT DO I NEED TO DRINK TO REALLY HELP ME FALL TO SLEEP? THANKS
